Sweeney Todd – the Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Oh gore, oh vengeance, oh dark dark gloom… how can you still make Johnny Depp as sexy as hot hell?

Mrs. Lovett

Easy now,
Hush, love, hush,
Don’t distress yourself,
What’s your rush?
Keep your thoughts
Nice and lush,
Wait.

Hush, love, hush,
Think it through.
Once it bubbles, then
What’s to do?
Watch it close.
Let it brew.
Wait.

I’ve been thinkin’ flowers,
Maybe daisies,
To brighten up the room!
Don’t you think some flowers,
Pretty daisies,
Might relieve the gloom?
Ah, wait,
Love, wait.

Can’t you think of nothin’ else?
Always broodin’ away on your wrongs
what happened heaven knows how many years ago!

Slow, love, slow.
Time’s so fast.
Now goes quickly, see
Now it’s past!
Soon will come,
Soon will last.
Wait.

Don’t you know,
Silly man?
Half the fun is to
Plan the plan!
All good things
Come to those who can
Wait.

Gillyflowers, maybe,
‘Stead of daisies…
I dunno though…
What do you think?

Starry, Starry Stardust

(Little bitty teeny weeny spoilers warning.)

I love it. Love it. Love it.

It hasn’t been a good two weeks for me (except for the welcoming bump of happiness last Saturday with friends), and watching the movie was a balm to my battered brain and soul (the heart will stay resilient as ever… and under denial). So last night, I went solo and aimed for the last full show (exactly at 9:40 PM), without knowing how to get home right after in one piece with just mere bucks remaining in my wallet. To hell with it, I said, I want to watch Stardust. So I did.

Re-Bourne Again

Spoilers warning.

I’ve been cooped up in our four-walled building with the only access for a peek at the world outside coming from our boss’s window (with the door almost always kept closed). It’s been raining cows and bulls and I couldn’t even have the time to be depressed about it. One word: work. Hence, my Half-days were announced several times for the past week, but we never took heed. Now that’s depressing. But I really don’t want to discuss about that part of my life.

Rather, let’s discuss about Matt Damon and the Bourne Ultimatum. Last Thursday dragged me to mental weariness so I suddenly decided to watch a movie on my own (after being left unsatisfied with buying two books, 3 cinnamon pretzels and a strawberry sundae).

Oh The Looooong Anticipation

Spoilers: To those who haven’t watched Transformers, you are forewarned.

I just realized that this day is a special day. It’s the day of Harry Potter. But alas, I still have a total of 13 days before I could watch Harry strut his stuff on the big screen. My friends and I planned to prolong the agony and save the bests (because there are three movies we’ve been waiting for) for last. We plan to have a movie marathon, namely Ratattouille, The Simpons and, of course, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It’s like three times the foreplay ending with one explosive orgasm. I hope. Damn. I’ve been stuck in the office for far too long now. And to think it’s only my fifth day.
