Facts About Me

This one’s from Flori and Hoto-chan. Got the time at last (half day at work) and decided to take a stab on this.

Okay, so I’ve been tagged twice. And instead of doing this twice as well, I’ll try listing down a total of 15 facts about myself in one go. And though I don’t have enough people to tag for this, I’ll just tag those who haven’t done the deed. Harhar. (Pero aminin mo na Dyosa, tamad ka lang. hehehe)

Rules: This came from the “8 Facts” tag. I’m just using it here for guidance.

In the 8 facts about [name], you share 8 things that your readers don’t know about you. At the end, you tag 8 other bloggers to keep the fun going. Each blogger must post these rules first.
• Each blogger starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
• At the end of the post, a blogger needs to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
• Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

This one’s hard. Saan ko kaya huhugutin itong 15 na ito? I’m as transparent as Prof. Ve—oops, too much information. Oh well, better give it a shot.

Re-Bourne Again

Spoilers warning.

I’ve been cooped up in our four-walled building with the only access for a peek at the world outside coming from our boss’s window (with the door almost always kept closed). It’s been raining cows and bulls and I couldn’t even have the time to be depressed about it. One word: work. Hence, my Half-days were announced several times for the past week, but we never took heed. Now that’s depressing. But I really don’t want to discuss about that part of my life.

Rather, let’s discuss about Matt Damon and the Bourne Ultimatum. Last Thursday dragged me to mental weariness so I suddenly decided to watch a movie on my own (after being left unsatisfied with buying two books, 3 cinnamon pretzels and a strawberry sundae).

What’s Your Daemon, Tell Me What’s Your Daemon

After watching Casino Royale led me to this. Now everybody sing:

Daniel Craig is a hooot-ty, Daniel Craig is a hooot-ty… (he even fits to my blog design perfectly)

Anyway, I just took this test from The Golden Compass to see my true daemon. Just click on this link and tell me if I’m lying or not.

Purpose in Life

This is the quote of the week that’s been flashing on the TV screens in our office building:

“When you discover your mission, you will feel its demand. You will be filled with enthusiasm and a burning desire to get to work on it.” -W. Clement Stone

Stone was a billionaire philanthropist who was able to reach his 100th birthday. Well, he had enough money to slow down time for his benefit. He was a Freemason, too.

Anyway, the quote got stuck in my head and had me analyze my situation at work. I can feel its demand, but the enthusiasm is missing. Granted, the objectives of the company I’m working for are actually purposeful. I don’t want to go into details, rest-assured the objectives are well-meant and for the betterment of a certain administration (haller, ano pang ibang administration meron?). But the desire to give my hundred percent is not there. Or maybe the bulk of work is still not apparent to me. I don’t know.

When It Rains… Everything’s Wet

I never thought I’d be able to reach the office this morning. Going out of UP was a toil when the water’s ankle-deep. And to think I’m wearing a skirt, at least it would be easier for me to wipe off the water than wring it out from the ends of my pants.

Come to think of it, this is nothing compared to the people going to Manila and other places where the water is higher than your ankles. I’m whining about petty things, masyado akong nasanay o nakulob sa loob ng UP kung saan lahat madali. Nakakahiya, and I actually felt sorry for myself when my father couldn’t drop me off to Philcoa because of the coding scheme.

Binabawi ko na, kaya ang iniisip ko nalang ngayon: it could be worse. Kung nasa Manila ako ngayon, may posibilidad na naanod na ‘ko sa Manila Bay.
